It was announced at my parents' church yesterday that a member of the church family was one of the Christian aid workers killed for their faith by the Taliban last week in a remote area of Afghanistan.

Brian was a friend since childhood and was one of the kindest, most gentle people I have ever met.

Please pray for peace for his family.

My deepest sympaty on the loss of your friend. May his family find solace and comfort.

Our church prayed for all the missionaries & the Afgan people Sunday. We pray for our troups every Sunday.

I think it would be appropriate to pray for the end of the Taliban and all of its supporters...everywhere.

Your friend and his family have entered my prayers along with all of the brave men and women who wear the US flag patch on their uniform in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other posts all over the world. While their "missions" may be slightly different, they are all risking their lives for what they most deeply believe.
