.223, Ballistic Differences Between 55gr & 77gr

I've only shot 55gr to this point out of my Sig 556 Classic Swat Patrol and now I'm planning on taking it out on some hogs.
Today I picked up some 77gr for such an event and my question is this.....
My sight is zero'd in perfectly and I'm wondering what adjustments I should be expecting as far as trajectory, point of impact, blah, blah, blah and generally how differently it will perform compared to the more common 55gr FMJ.

their might be difference, however, I would say it is irrelevant for your hunting.

See that's what I was thinking. I'm still skeptical but its worth a shot I suppose. I won't be the only one out there so if needed there will be some heavier firepower.....that is if I don't give in before I get out there.

Might want to check the Winchester site ballistic calculator. Didn't see the 77 gr, but should give you an idea comparing other weights. Might want to check if the manufacturer of the ammo you are using has something like Winchester.

ballistics are gonna vary depending on you barrel twist rate. you'll need that info in order to figure out what you need.
