Interesting that he offers "kits" of leather and kydex to "make your own" at home for all the DIYers out there.

Been thinking of getting a backup Glock holster (in case I break something on my Crossbreed). $35 is a lot nicer than $70 for the "big names".

Those look interesting, especially the kits. I've done some sheaths and things in Kydex but never a holster. Might give that a try.

My only concern with this one is it appears he makes the clips from strips of kydex (bent and formed into clip shape). I think that's what Crossbreed used to do and those types of clips kept breaking (I've had at least one that broke). The new metal Crossbreed clips are obviously much stronger, but when carrying tucked the little cross design (cool as it is) is a dead give away to anyone who is a "gun person" that you're carrying and your gun is right there between those to clips.

Very interesting. Maybe someone would pick one and a post review. I never had IWB and maybe at this price, it is worth it to try.

I just ordered their DIY kydex kit yesterday. I'll take photos of how it turns out and post it here.

Gotta say, pretty dang good customer service so far. I got an email today from them saying,

"I believe your kit was accidentally shipped without the spacer/spring material. I am shipping this material separately. It is on it's way. Sorry for the inconvenience."

I've never had a company contact me to tell me they screwed up and caught it.

Ok so it's been about two weeks on the new holster, actually really only weekends, I can't carry at work, and the hybrid holster is impossible to install and remove in the car, but anyway, here's how it turned out.

The DIY kit came in a bag with pretty much what you see on the website. Two pieces of .09 Kydex, four(I think it was four, i'll have to check) strips of about .12 kydex for making the belt clips, all kydex is flat sheets needing to be formed. A piece of pre cut leather, and all the hardware. I didn't have to purchase anything for the DIY. All of the DIY tips on the website are pretty thourogh, but probably a good idea to read some other tutorials as well.

Did a little bit of googling since i've never worked with kydex before, and made a press out of some scraps around the house. Total time was about 5 hours start to finish, watching a movie and TV intermittantly during the build. I used the oven to heat the kydex, and a heat gun to touch it up later. A dremel and a rubber mallet for everything else.

Took a few tries to get the kydex formed right, but it's cool stuff and pretty easy to work with. Anyway it came out great.








All in all it's a great holster. Retention is as good as you make it. I had to play with a few things and add an extra adjustment screw. I might have to remold a few places later as the leather forms. My only complaint is the leather supplied is not stiff enough, the front belt clip gets kinda floppy after awhile. I've already added a piece of kydex to hold the rear belt clip better to tuck the grip tighter into my side, and will be adding another one to the front clip to better stabalize it. But given that it's only $20, it's a darn good deal. Super comfortable for hours on end, easily wearable all day long. My CZ is allmost full size and considered by some as not very concealable, this holster makes it practically dissapear and you almost forget about the weight.
