A rape suspect's daylight attack on his victim was caught on surveillance camera.

He returned to the scene of the crime shortly afterwards and entered the convenience store there, providing even better pictures when he was caught on the store's cameras. When he saw his picture plastered all over town, he called the police to tell them he was innocent. They invited him to "come on down and discuss it." It seems that discussion didn't go the way he anticipated.

I would laugh except for what happened to the girl. I note the story says he is also being investigated for two other rapes. With any luck he is also guilty of those and a serial predator is off the street.

It's always nice when the BG is so helpful during the investigation after the crime.

I was always fond of burglars who dropped their wallets at the scene, and bank bandits who wrote their holdup notes on the back of their own deposit slips.
