You're not going to be able to get the sealed records, nor do you need to do so. Just get a letter from the court clerk saying they have no record of that particular arrest and turn that in.

Hello glck27.

Yes, unless there have been changes that I'm unaware of, you will need
to obtain and submit Certified Copies of all Dispositions.

It would also be a good idea to keep copies for your records.

I had a juvenile thingy too, walking down street open carrying a BB gun 40 years ago, (looked real to the officer) DPS wanted verification for that "Possible" arrest.

Got something like a "CERTIFICATION OF NO RECORD FOUND" type paper from Harris County clerk who Stamped it, and faxed it and that's all they needed.

glock27 wrote:got a letter in the mail stating they wanted certified copies of the dismissals from my two arrest.

one was a alcohol dui as a minor class C misdemeanor which was dismissed though deferred. i have tracked the paper work for this. just need to go pick it up.

the other was crimnal mischeif as a juvenille i was 16 classified as 5k-20K in damages. which i am having a hard time tracking any paper work after going on a goose chase calling all of the courts seeing if anyone knows where my records are. from my research TX juvenile records are "sealed" if you do not commit a A or B misdemeanor or a felony from age 17-21. which i did not. i am obviously eligable for a chl since i just purchased a .22lr the day before yesterday. its jsut frustrating, i saw the letter in the mail and i immediately starting bending it hoping to feel my plastic inside, only paper.GRRRRRRRRRR

both arrest where from the same police station and from what the clerk told me the records are generally destroyed after 5 years? sounds strange.

both arrest i went to PPD. my DUI/minor says the arresting agency was COLLIN PD/Collin County/TX
and my criminal mischeif says PlanoPD/colling county/TX

anyone ever had to track down a sealed record???
I don't have an answer for your question, I just want to point out that the criminal mischief would be classified as a felony due to the value of the damage.

Unless you were certified as an adult, then you don't have a "conviction" for the criminal mischief.

Tip:

I faxed prior to mailing to the person handling mine; (I may have put in cover sheet, "Originals being sent by mail" I can't remember ... Anyway, She approved it/sent it through before I got back from the mailbox to mail the originals.
Copy everything after faxing, keep it and confirmation.

Personally, I wouldn't send/"volunteer" anything they didn't ask for or need, they have enough work to do as it is without extra unneeded unwanted paper clutter.

Did you call the number they gave you?

It is the number [abbreviated profanity deleted] Regulatory Counsel... You might want to call them.
