Ouch! I say that both for the ammo prices and the recoil.

I know nothing about ballisticsupply. Have they started up again? The front page of the website says they are closed until further notice, and that's dated 11/1/09. There's always Powder Valley, Graf & Sons, Widener's, Midway, and others out there for comparison shopping. How much of the "big" stuff they stock, I don't know.

You may get a pretty good idea of reloading setup costs by searching this subforum for when we newbies were asking the same question. I spent ~$300 on a Lee Deluxe Turret Kit, a set of dies, a bullet puller, tumbler and media. I repurposed a bunch of lumber for a bench and pick up lots of brass at a local range that does CHL qualifications.

Depending on where you are, someone will probably chime in and offer to show you the ropes if you'd like. There are also classes on reloading offered from time to time in many places - can't think of them right now, but I've seen them listed here somewhere...
