Oh yes! That's what you get when you cross a Segway with an M1 Abrams. I want one too! That's one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time.

Awesome, I wonder what the run time is. Love the remote control litter carrier idea. Now all we need is to mount an M249 to the trailer, remote controlled, and you have a little battle wagon.

If it has any sort of endurance I could see it having actual military purpose.

Sorry to resurrect this thread from the dead, but over the past few months I have been working on a military version of this vehicle in conjunction with my school and BPG-Werks. We recently demoed it for Air Force Research Labs, and it is in consideration for further testing, and development. Attached is a link to a review from engadget, who came out prior to demoing it to AFRL and a picture of myself riding the current iteration of the civilian model which is also still in development.

I wonder if they've thought about attaching a shield or even just mounting points to the steering stem? Seems like you could transfer a lot of your backpack to that thing, letting the soldier be more agile in combat. There wouldn't really be much more weight for the thing to move, since it'd all be stuff the soldier would have to carry anyway.

Oh, and REALLY REALLY WANT!! Not that I know what I'd do with one, they just look fun. Like a land version of those stand-up jet skis.

Dave, We did fab a trailer, and are considering alternative mounting points. The steering interface is actually the board itself, not the handle. Also the census form the operators seemed to be that they didn't want to be separated from their gear in any respect.

TXSheepDog, You'll just have to wait and see what else BPG-Werks is working on and whom they may be working with. ;-)
