I had a really good time, and I think the consensus is that we have to do this again. This board has some great people on it, and it is always fun to get to meet other members for the first time and put faces to names. We indulged in good natured banter and kidding one another, and rooting for one another too. Other people really enjoy a round of golf with their buddies. Well I enjoyed skeet the same way.
We have to do this again, and we have to get others interested in coming along the next time. Y'all don't know what you missed out on.

It was a great time! Thanks to AndyC for the pointers, and thanks to all involved for the good times and fun. Pics turned out well, but they don't do justice to how much fun we had!
I think repeats are in order.

Andy didn't mention it, but we had a bit of drama on the way to the range this morning. Andy was in his car, right behind us, as we got off the freeway. About 3/4 of a mile after we turned right off of W. Mansfield Highway (287) onto Dick Price Rd, we came upon the scene of a single vehicle accident that had just happened. A dump truck, headed the same direction as we were, got his right rear tire off the edge of the pavement (there is a ditch there) on the right side of the road, and in the effort to regain control, he managed to go across the on-coming side of the road, and tipped over onto his side in the ditch on the left side, with his truck facing back the way he came - knocking over a telephone pole in the process, with a line down across the road.
The driver was able to climb out of the truck with some help from some other passers by, and sat down on the road and tried to collect himself. Andy called 911 and gave them the location while I checked the driver over for any signs of injury. Then he and I prayed together for a minute, and I helped him walk over to the ambulance. We then hopped back in our cars and proceeded the rest of the way, arriving about 5-10 minutes later than planned.
Thankfully, it was not an omen for the rest of the day, as we had a great time. I hope that truck driver is OK this evening.

It was a real pleasure meeting everyone this morning and putting names with faces at Alpine this morning. Thanks Andy for setting this up and for the help on the course, whether or not the student was heeding the advice. I would agree that this get together was like a round of golf, except with shotguns.
I would definately be up for another few rounds of skeet most anytime we can all get together. I know Hoi is putting together some pistol shooters at Elm Fork in a couple of weeks. I may drive over there to meet a few more to put faces to names.
What do you think, Andy, was I shooting behind the clay in the pic above? I seem to remember hearing that a time or two today!

Actually, if that clay was running left-to-right, you probably hit it

I have feeling that the clay wasn't running left-to-right, however....

I mentioned our trip elsewhere also, and now have 4-7 others who want me to take them out shooting a couple rounds. I told them I'd be happy to take em, but I'm certainly no expert.
I know enough to know that I'm already looking forward to our next trip!
So....when are y'all thinkin? Lol
