mini-range report

It's "ammo picky" as most reviews have noted.

I shot about 400 rounds of ammo by four manufacturers through it this afternoon. I had these on hand so this is what made the test:

While being the most accurate, the Federal "Target Grade Performance" from WalMart was the least dependable and, at least one round in every mag of 10 failed to cycle properly.

Even the decades old Federal Hi-Power cycled but both it and the Remington weren't very accurate.

The CCI Mini-Mags were acceptably accurate, but cycled like champs without a single malfunction.

A couple of reminders:
1. the system runs best when clean and lubed (imagine that?)
2. be sure and keep the guide rod nut tight since it tends to loosen itself.

I'll be shooting it often and having fun with a .22 plinker now.

Hope this helps.

I have the Kimber 22LR conversion and it specifically states high velocity and plated bullets only.

It does make for a fun pistol!
