The above is A handgun I've been been looking at for a while, the CZ may have to wait due to monetary restrictions. Does anyone know about the quality of the Zastava, because if it's anything worth buying, the $300 price tag is very attractive.

I concur with Andy about EEA's service reputation.
If you want a Sig-style gun for a decent price, J&G usually has Sig P6 police trade-ins for about $350.

Not going for any particular style, just want a nice, cheap pistol, something to practice with that isn't a PPK or knock-off (we have those, plenty of them).
Edit: My only stipulations are:
1) 9mm
2) Double-stack mags
3) 3.5"+ Barrel
Other than that, I'll take whatever I can get my hands on.

if new and for $290 that is an excellent price. You will shoot it at competitions for years to come.

You can find other pistols in that price range....Ruger P95, Bersa Thunder 9, SW9VE, etc....that you can find parts and service for easier than dealing with EAA.....

Stoeger Cougar
Stoeger Industries is a subsidiary of Beretta. The Stoeger Cougars are made in Turkey using the same machinery that Beretta used to make the original Cougars. It is every bit the quality of the Beretta. The Stoeger 8000 in 9mm is identical to the Beretta Cougar L Type P (Cougar L slide, lighter barrel and beveled slide, but with a full-length magazine). The Cougar is a great gun for the money.
