Front Sight G23

Okay, I was explaining some things for my brother and law who told me that he and the wife were looking into a CHL, purchases, etc. I withdrew my G-23 (yes property I was in control of) and as I was clearing it I looked at it and the front blade was missing. So the question is, are my options in the North Fort Worth for getting a replacement, reasonably priced, that I don't have to have shipped?

I am teaching my eldest daughter some tid bits before her CHL class on Saturday and would like to be able to demonstrate a good sight picture.

You could try Cheaper than Dirt in Fort Worth. They might have it. Also, I think Euless Guns & Ammo sells a few tritium sights for Glocks.

Alternatively, I would order it from MidwayUSA.com, and have it shipped by next day air.

Was it the standard white plastic front sight? If so, I should have one around here that you're welcome to borrow or keep. PM me your address if you'd like it.

Any local gun store will have at least some options for night sights. The front sight is a breeze to put on and take off.

I had a problem with a front sight on a G36. Called Glock and they put one in the mail for me. No problem.

Just as an FYI, the standard plastic sights aren't held in place by a screw post, but rather a simple pair of expanding plastic tabs. If you're going to carry a Glock, at least replace the front sight (Not sure if the people at the Cheaper Than Dirt store can do that for you).

Many later Glock front plastic sights are held in place by a screw post. Mine are. (Gen 3 G26s).

Fascinating -- my G23 _Gen4_ was a plastic snap-in. I wonder what determines it they're screw post or not?
