Looking to order a wilderness instructors belt to be used with either a crossbreed or Minotaur holster. Since I have not bought the holster yet I was wondering if anyone out there with these types of holsters could tell me what would a close estimate to add for belt size. Also any comments on the choice for belts would be appreciated. I am a painter so the dressier belts would be a little much I think. Plan to get a separate one for those occasions. My daily carry will be a 709 slim. Thanks in advance....BK

Most of the websites provide good instructions for determining belt sizes. They usually recommend adding 1-2 inches for IWB carry. You may also need to add that to the waist of your pants.

The Wilderness Instructors belt doesn't have holes so it is infinately adjustable. I have two of them and highly recommend that brand.

On occasion, even painters dress up to go out. For those occasions I recommend the bullhide leather belt from the Beltman.net.

The instructors belt has a range where it's adjustable, but if you lose enough weight the velcro won't line up anymore.

True, but I thought the velcro was just there to keep the tip of the belt from flapping around. Couldn't you tuck it into your belt loops like any other belt and call it good?

The stiffened portion won't bend back either, so it's adjustable to infinite detail, but only within an limited range. I have one (genuine The Wildnerness, not a knockoff) and it's a great belt but be aware of that limitation.

Thanks for the quick replies folks. I had seen the belt sizing instructions and just wanted to make sure I was giving enough space and wanted to check with ya"ll first. Didn't want to make a foolish mistake on something like sizing. Thanks again
