Just picked this up at a local Hill Country gun show. Taurus Ultralite titanium 38. No chance to shoot it yet but it sure feels comfy in the hand.
Perfect little gun to walk my dog with to ward off snakes and wild mutts.

I carry the same type ammo load in a revo every day "in the field", with the exception of only 2 shot shells followed by 3 hardball....also a speed strip with the same combination in a shirt pocket. When mr no-shoulders is most likely to be holed up for the cold season, I generally go all hardball. In your case, in the Hill Country, you can probably run across a nasty rattler in January or February though. If you haven't already, go through a 10 pack or two of shotshells with the snubby at "snake distances" before you need to for real. I found myself shooting over the nasty things more than once from 4-5 feet away with a S&W 637. At that distance the killing pattern is still fairly narrow, even with a snub barrel. With the ferral hog problem in some of the areas I tend to visit, I decided to go back to .357 for daily "walks in the woods", and ended up with a SP101. For shotshells and snakes (at snake distance) they all do pretty much the same thing though.

Congrats on the new gun.

That's a nice un.

I've heard of, but not seen (stayed indoors more this year than most), a lot more snake activity round here this last year.

All day I was thinking I was forgetting something.
There was a show near the "Sleeping Giant" lake, but it's good I forgot I guess, I have more than I need now.
I"d go after church tomorrow, but the guy with a bunch of 1911s at a couple of these hill country shows will be at my church anyway, so I'll see what he has that might interest me. He's retired LEO and I trust him and his opinions.
