I just picked this rifle up Monday after special ordering Friday. Bought some extra mags, Ammunition and a EOTech. I was going to take and post pictures but decided to make a video and post on youtube so the whole world can see. The overall appearence of the fit and finish seems to be great, nice and tight. Looks to be a well made rifle, we'll see about that at the range.

That's a sweet rifle, what do they usually go for?

MSRP is $1300(thats what I paid) but since they just released them you see some trying to sell for well over that amount.

Now a question, Was the bolt that shiney because of the Finish? Or was it just REALLY Lubed?

i know i love my 556, congrats brother

Its shiny from being super lubed, that was the first time I opened the rifle up. The factory is not shy with the packing oil/lube.

The 556 is based on the 550 series rifle which is a battle rifle in a few European countries.

The 516 is a short stroke piston driven AR-15 platform rifle. The only similarities between the two is the Sig Sauer name and they both accept AR style mags.
