Ok, I know nothing about this .22 LR, anyone able to tell me what I have and when it may have been made? It belonged to my Dad and now I have it. It reads on the left side "High Standard" "The Plinker" one the right side it has M-101 and the serial number. It has a thumb screw that holds the barrel on,
I doubt it has ever been fired. It had a little surface rust on the Mag release and was stuck, I soaked it and got it freed up and it works fine. I knocked the roll pin out and cleaned up under the release. Other than a fun .22 to practice with is it old?

I don't know model #'s but some of the "High Standard" 22's are still sought after. My Dad bought one at Sears in the '60's I think he paid about 40 bucks for it.

Thanks! Cosmo, Flint! Mine looks just like the DuroMatic except it says "The Plinker instead. I had no idea the company was in Houston. Wonder where my Paw got this thing :)
