No targets to show, but I gotta tell ya...a Colt D frame is a great close-range, self defense weapon.

At 21 feet and closer, it was putting all of them where they needed to go. That's a real confidence booster.

And it ran like a little Swiss watch!

I don't know why but I am fascinated by this weapon! I grew up with revolvers, and still (will always have) the first weapon I learned to shoot on (besides a 22) a S&W model 10 38 special. It was very hard for me to give up my "wheels" and go to SA - but I do love my M&P9C and my P238!

I just had to tell you I think your weapon is beautiful! I think I would really like to have one to carry in the future (hint hint hubby!)

Just out of curiosity, what ammo were you using in your Cobra?

I love me some .38 snubbies.

Funny but my two favorite guns are at the opposite ends of the spectrum.
A 1911 and a snub nose .38 ..as noted by my signature line.

That's an excellent question.

I've been moving my 91 year old uncle out of his home in Baytown, and I've found several boxes of old 12ga, .38, and .22 ammo.

He had an old, white box of 158gr, lead round nose. I think it was Federal, but I could be wrong.

I noticed immediately that it was pretty stout even though it wasn't labeled +P.

Of course, most of the old .38 Special ammo was as hot as current +P.

I only put about 50 rounds through it, then went back to my low velocity, jacketed wadcutters.

For carry I load it with those Barnes Bullet 110gr CorBon DPX's seen in the picture above.
