I know you can not carry in the casino part, but can I carry to my room in the hotel? If anyone knows info would be great. Thanks
If no one knows the answer, if I were to call and ask the hotel how should I phrase the question?

As long as you don't have to carry through the casino to get into your room, and the hotel itself is not posted, then you should be OK. Louisiana does have a parking lot law, so you should be fine there even if the hotel is posted.

One thing to be aware of is the LA law on alcohol in a restaurant is still in debate. I would suggest not carrying in a restaurant if they serve any alcohol.

Just call the hotel and say "Yo man, me and mah homeys is fixin to come in der strapped up and ready to throw down. You uns got any problems wit dat?"

Sould get you the info you need, if they don't cancel your reservations on the spot.

River boat or tribal?

River boats are same as any other place. Tribal casinos follow tribal rules, and tribes can own casinos that aren't on tribal land. Marksville Paragon is tribal. Casino floor is no guns, hotel is okay (tribal owned, not tribal land), but the RV park and cabins behind the hotel is tribal land so no guns allowed.

If it's Bossier Horseshoe, it's just a hotel unless you're on the casino boat part.

We do.

I figure the Casino folks have a better grip on security than us. From the parking lot through the front door and to the room, we're carrying. A handgun is safer on our person than under the seat, glove box, or trunk.

The Ameristar in Vicksburg is a place where you'd wish you had John Rambo watching your back.

In the Casino, should something spooky happen, we'd try to crawl underneath the dust.

Tribal criminal law may not be applied to a non-tribe member, so the tribes have to have you charged under state law to get you convicted of something. Tribal police are often also certified LEO's in the state where their tribal land is, so they can arrest you under state law...if one criminalizing the conduct exists.
