I have a chance to buy a Springfield XD 45 Tactical for 415.00. It has no box, only 1 mag. Looks like it has seen Maybe 300 rounds. Based on your location..Is this a good buy? I would really like to have a box and mags and accessories it came with, but....

What do you think?

That looks like a pretty good price to me. New, they're usually in the $550+ range. Most used XDs I've seen are usually listed around $450 and up.

I personally wouldn't be concerned about the box. I don't store my guns in their original boxes. I had an XD for a while, and while the XD gear, with the holster and mag holder is nice to have, it's nothing very high quality. I wouldn't have carried with it, so that wouldn't be deal breaker for me either.

Add a magazine, and you're probably looking at around $450 total, which is still a pretty decent price. I'd strongly consider it if I was looking for one.

My full time carry piece is an M&P Full size .40 (even though I have an M&P compact I still prefer the full size)
I do like the way the XD feels. I am going to the range tomorrow to shoot one.

BAM!! WOW Really impressed with the way this XD Shoots! Very Tight Groups, comfortable feel. Thanks to all you guys that twisted my arm and made me go get it. (Had to twist real hard...Didn't ya )

I think this might just get equipped with the streamlight and become the new bedside "Bump in the Night" weapon. (sorry for the horrible picture, all I could find was my camera phone)

Had to find the camera and post some better pics. This firearm is practically new.

I've got the standard version of that gun and it's a comfortable, easy to shoot thoroughly reliable workhorse.

I like those XD45s in 4 or 5 inch. I have been carrying a XD45 Tactical Compact since August in a Crossbreed Super Tuck and a good gun belt and it disappears with little effort. I got a second full cap mag and carry one in the gun IWB now with an untucked shirt. I just moved my holster forward a bit so the end of the mag isn't noticeable and never had any issues. These XD45s are the only gun I liked the grip, how well it hides and carries and just to shoot it. Accurate, low recoil and durable.
