TMG Syndrome Becoming Endemic

The Centers for Disease Control do not report these disturbing cases, but more and more I am seeing anecdotal evidence of this emerging threat to public health. Please report the cases you encounter here. I will start with these:
- at The Bullet Trap yesterday, I overheard a Range Officer remark, "My wife is upset that I bought a fourth gun safe last week."
- my own lovely wife caught me surreptitiously eyeing this week's Academy flier (I was reading it hidden behind the Dallas Morning News front page, as if it were a girlie magazine): "You aren't thinking about buying ANOTHER gun are you?"

Napier:
I'm trying to post the Academy handguns on sale each week as a thread
on the board.
So browse their ad on the board, and if your wife comes in, tell her you're
just reading up on the latest "anti" campaign!

I'm pretty much eat up with TMG syndrome. Sometimes my wife catches me drooling with a 1000 yard stare. It's bad.

Some say the best treatment of TMG is to overload ones self with as many G's as can be afforded. If the treatment is successful, the patient will eventually become sick of G's and resume normal daily activities. There is no estimated timeline for how long this process will take.

I understand there's a brand-new strain of TMG syndrome, initially known as TMM syndrome. It may be triggered by anxiety from TV news.

Just tell the wife you're trying to find one with grips which match your shoes.
(If they already do, tell her you were shopping for NEW shoes, but need to see what G will match before buying the shoes)

Strictly speaking, the CDC groups this into a single category called TMGA Syndrome. As such, it includes all accessories including that drawer full of holsters that seldom see use, the new optic you just gotta have, the latest and greatest tactical light, bipods, range bags, grips, and even those seven different types of oils and grease you somehow found yourself with.
But that reminds me, I could use a few more Pmags...

Naw; I prefer the Vickers Cobra two-point from Blue Force Gear. It's about $100.
Wait. Now that you mention it, I think they have a new padded version of the Cobra that I probably need...

If TMG is wrong, I don't want to be right.
