My wife works for a local gun wholesale/distributor here in Abilene . So I'll able to get this pistol at a VERY good price. Does anyone have any experience with one? This one will have the quick action trigger.

Not the compact version, so feel free to ignore the rest of this mail

...however, I do carry a full size P99 QA as my CCW, which is identical except for the shortened grip/slide+barrel. Very nice firearm, very accurate, easy to disassemble, and you can swap the sights out without a gunsmith. Full-cap mags (which will fit in the 'c') are now again available from Magnum Research who have bought out a Walther-licenced P99 clone.

However, the QA trigger is often gritty out of the box. Can be very successfully improved by either a) use or b) some basic polishing as seen on the 'How to make your QA trigger unsuck' thread at waltherforums. This is very easy to do, and takes a trigger from 'eugh' to 'sweet !' in 30mins.

thanks for the reply...would be scared to screw up a brand new pistol...since I'm not too inclined towards such things...thanks for the feedback though. Do all of these pistols need this mod?...anyone else with any comments?

They are very nice pistols and you will love yours. The grip is very comfortable and allows for a good strong grip. Mine is actually the AS trigger (my preferred). I too recommend the previously recommended trigger tweak once you get comfortable with the pistol.

ps...Smith and Wesson have a copy of the 99, so you can look at the cheaper SW magazines if you need more.
