Federal has issued a recall on certain lots of reciently made .45ACP ammo. One of the Brands is Champion that is sold at Wal-Mart. The ammo may have been overloaded. If you have any current Federal .45ACP ammo DO NOT SHOOT IT until you are sure your ammo isn't one of the recalled lots.

Certain lots of recently manufactured 45 Auto ammunition may contain an incorrect propellant
charge. Use of product from these lots may result in firearm damage and possible
serious injury.
DO NOT USE PRODUCT FROM THE FOLLOWING LOTS:
If you have in your possession any 45 Auto with the following brand names and part numbers,
check to see if your ammunition package contains the above lots: American Eagle® (AE45A,
AE45N1, or AE45A250), Champion™ (WM5233), GoldMedal® (GM45B), Hi-Shok® (45C, 45D)
and Federal® Personal Defense® (C45C, C45D). Example below:

With as serious problem this could be for members of our forum multiple threads may not be a bad idea especially since I didn't pay any attention to the OP because of it's generic title. Seeing a post saying "Federal.45 ACP" ammo on another forum got my attention fast! If only one gun is not damaged or one member not hurt by having multiple posts on this issue then they are worth it.

No need for mutiple threads since they are all in this section. Just discuss in the first one that that will keep it at the top of the unread lists.
