Looks like they had the church name wrong and updated it.

ARLINGTON - One person has been confirmed dead and another transferred to a nearby hospital after an altercation at NorthPointe Baptist Church in Arlington.

The lady that is in ICU is the mother of a "safety team" member at our church (and Ellis County Deputy Constable), very sad, certainly praying for those folks in Arlington.

Word I have gotten was that the pastor was strangled and the woman who was savagely beaten also suffered a heart attack.

Her condition was upgraded to stable and she is now expected to live. The latest detail I saw on the news last night was they are still looking for her car that was stolen presumably by the perp(s). The door of the building was locked when police arrived so now they are considering if the person guilty of this horrible thing was known to the victims and was let in or may have had a card key to get in. The area this church is located has it's problems with crime. I was hoping there were cameras that might have recorded the suspect(s), but the news reported no such luck.

Although remote, the woman might have been able to lock the door after the BG left to keep him from returning.

Our church doors lock when you go out, but can't get back in without a key.

I hope they find and don't mess up the arrest and prosecution of whoever did this.

I looked Mr Nelson up online. Burglary of a habitat, assault with a deadly weapon, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle .
These are pretty recent charges ( within the last few years). I hope everyone responsible for this man being on the street sleeps well tonight.
