Im pouting...

This thread is not for advice, just to vent a bit.

I have a few hundred "extra" laying around. I was thinking about getting a new gun. Nothing "great", no Kimbers, no Colts, nothing for daily carry. I was thinking about either a .22 for fun on the range, or a pocket gun, like a TCP or LCP or similar.

So I head to the store. Mind you, some of my "extra" $ is in a $150 Academy Gift Card, so of course, I head to head there, but if my "extra" was in cash, I would definitely look at The Arms Room and other locations.

I looked at the TCP and LCP for pocket carry that I have been thinking about for a while, and at various .22's for range fun.

I just wasn't impressed with any of the .22s (they had 8 or so for target fun) and the LCP and TCP's, but they are just way too small and I am not convinced I would like it so I don't want to buy it, just to want to sell it in a week.

If I was looking for a new carry weapon I could have been all over a new one, but I really enjoy my Springfield XD9sc, and just don't have any needs to replace it, so I couldn't just spend the money, to spend the money...

So, Im pouting...

I have a TCP and I have fun shooting it even though it is tiny. It is not unpleasant on the hands. I shot a friend's Kel-Tec in the sub compact 9mm flavor and that was no fun, but the .38 ACP isn't bad.

If you cant find something to buy at Academy with $150 in gift cards, you have a problem and need remedial help. I'd be glad to help you by taking those gift cards off your hands and spending them wisely

Ok, so no advice, just an offer, I normally carry a Sig P-250 and said the same thing about a LCP but found these mouse guns to be great for certain situations as an alternative carry.
Pm me if you want to shoot mine, I am in the east Pearland area so any of the SE area ranges are fine.
I belong to PSC but best shot in friendswood is closest to me.

FL450, I am also a member at PSC, and as you stated, Best Shot is also closest to me.
I will think about your offer and let you know, very kind of you!

I was in the Webster Academy yesterday with Mrs. FL450 and dropped north of 200 dollars.
I didn't even get one firearm out of the deal although I did sneak a SD weapon into the basket, a Kershaw knife that was a special buy at 35 dollars.

Look for a S&W BG 380. Little bigger than the LCP. Academy does carry them but they sell out just like the LCP use too.

I can't go to Academy, for that very reason. That, and gas being what it is. (One Academy 20 miles from me, the other 35)

Bass Pro Shops is opening in October. That's a little less than 5 miles from me. When it was announced, I turned to my wife and said, "We're gonna stay broke now, you know."

she agreed.
