Gunpowder therapy day

Thank God for a beautiful day in Texas. Invited a group of my mostly retired friends to a range day. We do this every 4-6 weeks. We met at a local cafe for lunch and retired to a private range where we have targets from 7 yds to 500 yds with sillouttes, steel bells/chimes and backstops in the middle of a large ranch. Fourteen shooters today and the wives were invited. We furnish targets, drinks, coffee, and the range and our friends bring a smile, guns and ammo. We had M--1 Garands, ARs, AKs, and pistols of every sort and caliber. There were over 20 .22 rifles96 rifles over 70 year old) and several .22 pistols. The most unusual gun was an Astra 9mm found on the banks of the Sabine river 30+ years ago. It shoots great still. Everyone shares their guns and the first to tell a big one, has lost the contest.

It is great to have friends who love to shoot and talk guns like us, and it is even greater that we can live in a free country where we can enjoy a day like today. God bless those in uniform protecting these freedoms anywhere in the world today.
