Had their first "opening" to the public last night. Tonight is the Grand Opening.
The traffic was so bad last night, that they were using a park 1 mile away to put in the overflow traffic, and bussing them back!!
I told Cyphur, 'fergetit.'
I'll just wait a bit 'til the new wears off.
(besides, no good 'deals' at the moment that would drag my carcass outta the house to fight that traffic)

Whimp! The traffic is always that bad between 445 and 630pm on IH30 - you must have gotten used to the open roads that are found when coming home at 730pm every night ;)
The traffic had died down around 8pm so I headed up there, it helps I live about two miles away on the same side of the highway. Even got a parking spot, no parking on the grass for me.
Decently crowded, but nothing insane. In talking to a very friendly and helpful man behind the counter(Jack was his name, I do believe), he said they were swamped the second the doors opened.
They had no sales on the firearms however, so I just looked. They did have a fairly nice selection of firearms though, got to handle a Para Ord Warthog Hi-Cap, nifty little gun, would make a good BUG if it didn't cost so much! Definitely in need of the finger extension on the mag, otherwise you're gonna be gripping it with 2 1/2 fingers. Its TINY!
Today they're selling a type of Winchester game load shotshell for 2.77 a box, so for anyone who needs shotshells, might want to head over right now. They expect to be sold out by 11am.
Its laid out slightly different than the store in Grapevine, this one has two floors. First floor has foot wear in the near left corner, firearms/hunting supplies/bow hunting in the far left corner, fishing in the far right corner, and clothing and such in the near right corner. Downstairs they have their boats and kayaks, but I didn't venture down there as the wifey was waiting for me.
They have a decent amount of floor safe selection, but I'll probably end up with the $400 walmart special this spring anyway.

Cyphur,
Does this store have an indoor gun range? The Grapevine one does. I think the missus and I will wait until Sunday or so to go check it out. Thanks for the scouting report.

No indoor gun range, no plans for it. Sorry I left that out! They do have an archery range.
