After watching Medic's video with his daughter shooting, I was jealous that he is starting her out at a young age. Mine waited untill she was 18 to decide she wanted to try it lol... Well, I guess better late than never lol

Anyway, on the last weekend of deer season, the entire family went out to the deer lease and my daughter decided she wanted to give shooting a try. Here is that video... she needs to work on her trigger control but she is still learning..

Nature (natural talent from her momma) and nurture (great training from her dad) together made her a great shot!

What does she think now? Is she eager to try again? Had enough for now? Wanting to know more?

She does have great aim!

Very nice video. I know that your comments were made in jest, but I would like to say something about being "jealous" of another shooter starting at a younger age. All children are different and develop and mature at a different pace. While some parents [mostly fathers] think that it is a badge of honor that their children started shooting at the age of five, I think that says more about the parent rather than the child. I commend you for letting your daughter progress at her own pace.
You should be as proud of yourself as you are of your daughter. :tiphat:

She liked it. She prefered the rifle over the pistol. She would like to shoot more, but doesnt get all excited about it like us men do lol.. She thinks me and her mom are a little crazy, but then again, what teenager doesnt? lol

Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I was teasing. With guns, just like everything else in my kids' lives, I dont push my desires on them. I present, I encourage, they know I am there to support whatever they want to do. Just like sports, band, boyfriends (grrrr lol) I am proud of all my kids and I think they all have a pretty good head on their shoulders and excellent self esteem. I have always told them they can do anything they want to and I will support them. Well... within reason.... no crazy piercings and stuff like that lol..

I hate to sound like my mother but you need to watch out and not put any food & drink on the firing line. All that nice "stuff' that we need to wash off of our hands with cold water and soap after shooting will get on your drink container and then you're ingesting it every time you take a sip.

Just a thought and no, I'm not your mother. :fire :fire :fire :fire :fire
