No, it was and is!! My favorite holiday of the year. 4 days off, and without this holiday, none of the others would have been possible, imo.
I think we have just enough left overs to make it until Sunday night. It's an ongoing Thanksgiving at our house.
I'm spending the weekend learning how to do some tunng on a 1911. Fun stuff.

I am just now recovering from post Thanksgiving eating stress syndrome. Hope everyone's Turkey day was as good as mine.

Well, continuing on through the Thanksgiving weekend....I'm off across the street to a neighbours fish fry. There will be plenty of refreshments (of the mind altering kind) and lots to eat no doubt

Yes it was, had a great day with the family, plenty of food to eat
Friday went to shreveport and watched my son's football team ( Texas High )
beat Highland Park--Dallas. Went to Church today. Yes it's been a good week. Hope all of you had a good one too.

You know what really stinks!
I was feeling just grand all the way up to the farm last Wednesday...
And Thursday morning I woke up, chucking my guts out, high fever, and feeling generally crappy...All day long!!!
My family up there figured out Uncle Steve was feeling that way...And you know what they did???
An unusually amplified Thanksgiving dinner (clinking of silverware) and football watching session proceded with me in the back room (with the dogs) suffering!!!
Ugggg...I couldn't hold down a helium balloon if I wanted this weekend...
But hey! I woke up this morning well enough to go into work!!! Woo Hoo!!!
The irony you could cut with a "carving knife" on a turkey!
I'm glad you folks had a good one!!! Honest!
The one flippin' day, I had to get a stomach virus...
Somebody was trying to tell me something I suppose...

Look at the bright side Stevie, you won't have to go on a diet like the rest of us.
I had cornbread dressing and gravy four times a day for three day's and still wasn't tired of it when it ran out!

I'm sorry you missed it. Those stomach bugs are something, but I imagine they're worse if you get a stomach bug.
I enjoyed my time off; it was hard to return to work today.
I was able to get nearly all of my Christmas shopping done the day after. (I went. I bought. I conquered.)

The Tigers did good, didn't they?
Every Texarkana school won, except Pleasant Grove (who enjoyed a
very rare trip to the post-season). Arkansas High won their state final.
T-town is getting to be quite a football town.

Yes, Texarkana has some good football teams. Good to see Ark. High so
good this year. Texas High was ahead 40 to 10 with 4 min. left when the coach put in his 2nd. string. My son is a basketball coach, teaches P.E.,
and teaches biology.

Shame Atlanta lost. We could still pull a hat-trick this year on area schools: Texas High in 4A, Liberty-Eylau in 3A, and Hooks in 2A.
