Texas Legal Protection Plan?

I had an attorney recommend this program to me, and it sounds really good, maybe too good. Does anyone have any experience with this group? I spoke with a lady from there today and she answered all of my questions so that it sounds even better. I know we have quite a bit of legal experience on here, so I am hoping someone can offer some insight. I could not find "tlpp" or "texas legal protection plan" in a quick forum search.
I copied some info from their "About" page below.
Thanks in advance. =)

I have not heard of this, But my CHL instructer recummended texaslawsheild.com. It is a prepaid law service that deals strictly with the use of firearms in self defense situations.

I guess I should have specified, I am not looking for a CHL specific program. A self defense shooting is a possible use for an attorney through the course of my life, but there are many other uses that are much more likely. I am wondering if this plan will cover all (or nearly all) of those situations - including a self defense shooting.

I was reading on this yesterday.
Talk to your insurance company. There are companies that may cover it under an umbrella policy.
I know there's a thread on this already.

TLPP is an excellent idea. I believe it costs around $12 a month and covers your attorney fees for quite a few things. They also offer a $17ish family plan. My girlfriend was enrolled in this program when she got her second DWI(yes she's a fool. Luckily she has since corrected her problem and no longer drinks at all.) The only thing the TLPP didn't cover for her attorney was transportation fees, so after forking over $100(pocket change compared to full attorney costs) her attorney was able to plea the charge down to a first offense and get her probation instead of jail time.
Alot of people don't like legal protection plans because they only cover certain lawyers. However TLPP's plan covers some very well respected lawyers and I would recommend them to everybody. Even law abiding citizens such as me and you. Worst thing I've ever done was get a ticket for speeding, but I still have TLPP for those just in case situations. There are countless cases in which a person did nothing wrong, but because they did not have a good attorney(or any attorney) they ended up getting into serious trouble. It's a small price to pay for peace of mind.

Thank you =) I agree with you on the peace of mind, I sent in my paperwork this week to try it out but I hope I never need it.
