i poked around on their website for a bit but came up with nada.

the question is, how do you go about cleaning your rubber grips? i have the hogue jr sleeve on my p250 and it's a little sticky from tons of handling. (snicker)

id like to clean the residue of sweat, range funk and god knows what else off... but i don't want to mess up the rubber.

any ideas?

Any multipurpose cleaner like Windex or Fantastik will clean gunk off of rubber. After they are clean, then use silicone spray to treat the rubber.

Now, if they are still sticky after cleaning them, then the rubber may be breaking down from gun scrubber or other cleaning agents. Hopefully that is not the case.

I use just the regular silicon spray (STP or other) that you get at Wal-Mart or Autozone. However, if the silicone rag has enough on it that you can wipe your car tires and make them shiny, then it should be good enough.

I have used Vinylex for several years and am very pleased with it.

my silicon rag is only lightly soaked, so im gonna head to wally mart and grab some spray today.

Make sure to wipe off the excess silicone or the recoil and slippery grips will cause your pistol to end up in the safe zone behind you.

When you go to get your silicone spray at Walmart, those alcohol wipes are sold over in the optical department.

On WINDY days or when the anchor gets stuck ... when my kayak tips over (we call it a turtle/ turtling/ unintentional kayak roll) .... it gets washed more often, as do I

How long have you had it on the gun?

I carry a 92FS daily - with hogue grip panels. Between 3000 rounds in the first 18 months, and daily carrying for 18 months - the texture started to wear a bit on the inside grip. It wasn't as sticky - so, I changed out to a new set. It seems I'll have to do that every 12-18 months.
