Is it as usable as the site shows? Would not mind getting the blank one and having it engraved the way I want.

I've seen them at the Dallas area gun shows and spent some time "playing around" with it and considering buying one. The knife works as easily as it appears on the video, very secure and smooth. It's American made and not a flimsy knife, although it's not as refined as my Kershaw but it's definitely faster to get out. I'd say the website and video are an accurate representation of the product.

Neat concept, but I don't like liner lock knives. I am impressed that the guy still has all of his thumb, after watching him close the knife so quickly.

Are these legal in Texas? I'm looking to pick one up, but haven't been able to determine if they would qualify as a concealed weapon and what not. I'm looking at the Bowen Knife Company, and would obviously have to get the single edge, not the double. Any information on legality is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks guys. There is no reason for the single edge knife to be considered illegal in Texas. The carrying law applies on to knives that are defined as illegal. The big questions are the blade design and the length. A length less than 5.5 inches is legal. The blade design is legal for the single edge knife. A dagger is illegal, and I was taught a dagger can be defined as any blade length, double edged, designed to injure by stabbing (pushing in the tip) as opposed to slashing. A Bowie style is also illegal no matter what length (yes, those little 1.5 inch souvenir Bowies are technically illegal in Texas). Since this does not meet those definitions, it would be legal.

Of course I do have the advantage of knowing the quirks and faults of the equipment, I worked for TSA for three years.
