LaserMax site for a Glock 21?

I just bought one of these from Midway. This is the one that replaces the recoil guide rod where the takedown pin doubles as the activation switch.

The thing seems to work well. I haven't taken it to the range, but the point of impact is very close (within 1 inch) to the sights for any shot I could need to take in my house, and since my G21 is my bedside gun, that's the only place I would ever need to use it. My only problem is that for some reason, the activation switch is extremely difficult to engage. When I have the slide removed, the switch easily clicks on and off, but when the gun is fully assembled, it is extremely hard to engage, and there is no clean "click". It feels mushy instead. I'm not sure what the problem could be since I don't think that the slide is putting undue pressure on the takedown pin / activation switch.

I'm hoping that someone may have some experience with this product and that they may be able to help me out on this.

Just to be sure; the yellow indicator marks on the switch lever face you, not the muzzle end right?
(Don't point it at yourself to check, but you know that)

I did verify the yellow bars are facing the right direction.

I played around with it a little more last night. I think it might just need to be broken in a bit, since it is getting easier to engage the more I use it. Definitely getting a positive "click" when engaged using my non-trigger hand, but when engaging from the trigger finger, it is still a smooth push until it engages, without a "click".

I will call customer service and see what they advise as well. The only problem is that I am at work whenever customer service is available (I'm guessing they are not there at night / weekends), so I won't be able to talk to them while I have the gun in hand.

Austex - Do you carry your G19 in a holster? I had heard reports that holsters could cause the laser to engage, which is why I have avoided getting them for my G19 and G26. Have you had any issues with this happening?

I think I may have found the problem. Does anyone know what a "FG/R" Glock is? I have a G21 that I bought a year and a half ago. How do I tell if it is a "FG/R"?

On another forum, I found that FGR means finger groove and denotes the newer frames where the grip has the finger grooves built in. And also apparently, Lasermax makes different systems for the frames with and without the finger grooves. At least, it lists them differently for the models 20 and 21 ont he Lasermax website.
