The above link doesn't take you directly to Page 6, where the firearms are this week.
Just page ahead and you'll get there.
Lately the Academy website has not been switching to the new ad as soon as Saturday
night turns to Sunday morning (starting the new sales week, which is always Sunday
through Saturday). So my posting of the ads will not always be as early as I had been
posting the threads.
Plus they have updated their system so that I have to enter my zipcode to get the online
pages to generate. My assumption is that the same guns are for sale at Academy's Texas-wide,
but there's no way for me to know for sure.
Happy shopping shootists.

And they've gone to Flash rather than an image of the ad. Flash is evil.

Why? Because it doesn't work on your iPhone/Pod/Pad?
I agree HTML5 is a better long term option. But Flash has been able to give us, for several years now, something that nothing else has been able to deliver ... browser
AND platform independence for higher end web experience items like video.
Java was supposed to do this - ActiveX was supposed to do this - Silverlight was supposed to do this. Thus far, only Flash has succeeded.
I agree with Jobs that HTML5 is the way to go in the future. But his bull-headed, stubborn defiance to support Flash on Apple products has done nothing but limit the experience of his own customers.
[/soapbox]
Sorry, not directed toward you personally ...

Nope and I don't own any of Satans technologies but thanks for assuming. :D
It's evil because it is a plague on the internet that has been misused, overused, and not used where it makes sense with the exception of multimedia prevention (audio/video). It's bandwidth intense, slow, and makes for a bad interactive interface. But it runs fine on my HTC Evo... :)
Silverlight seems to do pretty well for Netflix.

There's actually only one gun on sale... Glock 22RTF... $479.99 down from $529.99. The rest of the them are just their "everyday low price".

I understand. :) I for one can't see the extra price for an iPad over a touchscreen Netbook that has more storage, more memory, and does stuff.
To the topic though, Academy's prices are about what the local guns shops are now for the most part. My wife and I looked at a compact XDm for her and it was about the same price. Of the two, I'd rather throw the $$ to the local guy.
