Looks like the Dems can't call a hearing, since they do not have the majority, so they are just having a "forum". One of the dishonorable senator from NY, Chuck Shumer, a Mexican health official, and representatives of various gun control groups plan on testifying.

*EDIT* Added "One of" to the beginning of the last sentence. I'd hate for anyone to think I thought the other senator from NY was honorable

Weak gun laws fueling smuggling? I thought the whole idea was that BATFE was doing the fueling. Perhaps they should pass a law against BATFE!

This is obnoxious, but all it is is noisemaking for the benefit of the media so that they can keep up the drumbeat that something has to be done.
