Any opinions on this gun?

I like the 9mm cylinder option.

Looking for my 1st revolver as well for range shooting.

Unless Ruger has come out with this and I missed it, I didn't know they had a convertible in the Vaquero. Are you by any chance looking at the New Model Blackhawk in a .357/.9mm. This revolver has adjustable rear sights and the Vaquero has a rear notch only. The Blackhawks are fine guns and very accurate, it will give you many hours of shooting pleasure. I have one and never use the 9mm cylinder, but it is a cheaper plinking option. I have shot 2 deer, several coyotes and hogs with this fine gun. They are really a workhorse.

Thanks Sidro i stand corrected.

They also have it in a 45lc/45 acp combination.

There is a 45 LC in my future after shooting one recently.

I have one in 44mag. It's a novelty, fun to shoot from time to time, but gets very little range time.
