They could injure themselves, often not well equipped psychologically; they often don't know how to shoot or handle a weapon with proficiency."
A Happy ending still Brings out the ANTI's.

Thanks for sharing the post! Great outcome even if they had to ask an anti about it. They are the last people to talk with in these types of situations. Truth be told, she probably called the station up to give her own input without being asked.

She says what happened to Taylor is the best possible outcome, but not always the norm.
:???: but not always the norm? What the heck does that mean. Sounds like double speak to me. Is she saying the that "the norm" changes with every incident? They are just grasping for something to say, not willing to admit the truth.

Mura Carabello, with the Gun Violence Prevention Center, believes Utah's permit laws are lax.

Maura Carabello, Gun Violence Prevention Center of Utah: "They could injure themselves, often not well equipped psychologically; they often don't know how to shoot or handle a weapon with proficiency."
She says what happened to Taylor is the best possible outcome, but not always the norm.

Maura Carabello: "My reaction in general, though, is we are lucky. We are lucky the permit holder is safe."
We are lucky the gun owner didnt shoot himself  . Why is it always a female anti gun quote? Sounds like she has some issues from her past. How does she know "they often don't know how to shoot or handle a weapon with proficiency" ???

I believe this is what she really said, however, the editors made a few changes before printing the article -
Maura Carabello, with the Gun Violence Prevention Center, believes Utah's permit laws are lax because even a person like her could get a permit.

Maura Carabello, Gun Violence Prevention Center of Utah: "I would injure myself, I am not well equipped psychologically; I do not know how to shoot or handle a weapon with proficiency."

She says what happened to Taylor is the best possible outcome, but not always what happens in her nightmares.

Maura Carabello: "My reaction in general, though, is we are lucky it was not me in the same situation with a gun. We are lucky the permit holder is safe."

The article didn't say that the BG had a weppon, although he must have had to be able to threaten Mikes life. This is one time the show of force by Mike
worked. The BG left with no one hurt. Wished every situation of this kind
turned out like this one did.

To me its interesting how stupid spokespeople are from the VPC...Annoying and interesting at the same time...

I must be a glutton for punishment...

I need to think if ignoring VPC and other Brady bunch types next year will be good for my health...Maybe make it a New Years resolution... ;-)

Lodge - How were you able to get the accurate text of the interview?
