I have acquired the HK P2000SK, and I'm wondering if anyone who has this gun has a holster suggestion. Just ordered a VMII but it will be the 1st part of June before it arrives.

Thanks in advance, and thanks for the warm welcome to the forum.

I'd recommend contacting the fine folks at Comp-Tac and see if they make holsters for your P2000SK. They can get you a great quality holster in about a week! The VMII is apparently well worth the wait, but you need something 'til then, right? ;-) Their turn around time is incredible and their customer service is above reproach!!!

I love Milt Sparks leather. And while leather will always have a very special place, I'm voicing another vote for Comp-Tac. Lead-time is generally two days or less. If you call Monday morning, there is more than a good chance your holster will be in the mail by the close of business on Tuesday.

Leather certainly is nice. It's soft, warm, and beautiful. On dressier occasions, fine leather has no equal. Kydex just kinda looks dumb on a well cut suit. But leather is not without it's faults. For starters, any good leather holster will be thicker than a comparable kydex holster. Leather also degrades over time and I'm convinced that it does not offer the consistency or speed of Kydex. I say that as someone who once swore by leather as the only way to go for inside-the-waistband carry.
