my first impression is that it is a way for someone to make money. Much of the info is available here in personable, dynamic, and free form.
But, to each his own.

The articles looked intriguing.
Not nearly $69 worth of intriguing, though.

I am a member of USCCA and the monthly magazine is pretty good, but you are right about most of the information is available online free elsewhere. I probably will not renew my subscription.
I actually get more and better information from THIS site!!

Yep,
They've been around for a while...I recall the guy who started this, and who is on the cover of that magazine may still be a participant in many discussion forums including PDO...
He's a pretty good source of information and easy to discuss things with in forums like that as I recall...But that was years ago...

I signed up for the 12 part free course. The information was good, and well written, but nothing new that I hadn't learned here and while surfing elsewhere. I can't see that his site is worth paying for. At least as long as Chas. keeps this place open for us.
One site I would pay for, if it would keep it more active and current though is Packing.org but then $60 or more is pretty steep even for that site.

I am also a member. I like the magazine and they do have good information. But, as mentioned earlier, you can get good info here as well. They have started using money for lobbying purposes in D.C., as they are still small the effect will be minimal at the moment. Any pro gun voice in DC is good for all of us.

I didn't even think about lobbying - that could be worthwhile.
I still don't have the money to throw that way.

The magazines are interesting, they focus on concealed carry and not just the newest $1200 guns that are "The Ultimate Concealable Tactical Surefire Manstopper". I purchased the one year magazine only subscription for $40, and $40 is close to the value for me for the magazine (good articles), but I won't pay any more for it than that.

I'm a member and just renewed.
I'm extremely happy with the magazine and the online resources available.
One thing that I really like about the magazine is that you don't have to skip around the magazine in order to read an entire article, like you do in almost every other gun magazine. That's worth some $$ to me.

I've been thinking about joining.
If they intend to lobby for concealed carry then it's worth it.
