How do we even put up with this from other Countries?

Mexico can pound sand. So can the bean counting DOJ lawyers that feel this is a federal issue. If my property taxes are educating an alien, that makes it MY issue. FWIW Texas LEOs can enforce federal immigration laws, sort of, - we just don't have a state charge to go on.

And in most of the countries involved, if you are declared an "undocumented immigrant" you will suffer far beyond anything contemplated in the new law, and you can bet that those governments will not file briefs in your case, unless you happen to be wearing them.

We put up with it because our politcians don't have the "moxy" to deal with immigration. They all are trying to pander to the Mexicans...so that they can get their votes. It's all about money and power. The immigrants are nearly all below the poverty level...bolstering those numbers gets more federal money into their state. It is prostitution by any other name. Therefore, pounding sand sounds great for everyone except those who are addicted to the hooker.

It is'nt mexico's or any other countries business what laws we make in this country. Love it or leave it. Funny how it's mostly the illegals they are worried about, probably because they don't want them back. Come here legally and I'll defend you, because then you have rights in this country.

From the perspective of our leftist, statist politicians, I certainly agree with you. This may also be true, for completely different reasons, from the perspective of the foreign country leaders. After all, if they can, in effect, force some of their domestic problems on the US it takes a bit of heat off of them. A change in the US immigration status quo might be quite uncomfortable to them at the next election.

I do believe that any interested party should be able to file a brief. In my opinion, though, the proper file for briefs from foreign govenrments in US court cases is definitely File 13 (the rubbish bin).

Not to mention all of the trades that are primarily staffed with illegals. A wide variety of service industries, agriculture, building, etc. Our country has become addicted to dirt cheap labor. It's not that Americans won't do these jobs either, it's that they won't or even can't at these wages.
