Serious question...

Recently, my Wife has been concerned for my mental state.
Seems that a long surpressed emotion has risen to the top of my consciousness.

I am faced with this dilemma:

Can a man have too many guns?

I am afraid that I can't answer yes to this.
Could be trouble on the horizon, as introducing a Gun Safe should be the next item.... and they kill the Fung Sheui of most rooms! ;-)

Can a man have too many guns?
Marshal, a man can absolutely, positively have too many guns. The condition can, as your wife suspects, lead to serious emotional and mental repercussions.

But there is help available.

I happen to be president of Adopt a Firearm (AAF), a 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization. For absolutely no cost to you, we can take those excess guns off your hands, provide them a well-cared-for, climate-controlled environment, and even arrange to send you pictures at Christmastime every year.

Just let me know. I'm standing by to help. ;-)

This question has come up in rec.guns. The most serious answer was along the lines of, "If you're late on the rent, your kids have toothaches and you can't afford to take them to the dentist, and you just bought your fifth customized AR-15, you might want to review your priorities."

Those of us that are amateur radio operators as well....
Can a man have too many radio's

So far this year: 3 XD's (2 45's and a 9) and 3 ham radio's (HF, dual band mobile and an HT) the average price per radio that I bought is equal to 1.25 XD's, and I bought inexpensive radio's! (all NIB)

My HF rig cost right at $800.00 but they average $1500.00 or more with the more expensive going over $12,000.00... that's right twelve thousand dollars for a radio.

My dual bander only went for $400.00 and my new HT just was $300.00.

My XD's were on average $450.00.

Like a former warden said about our special housing unit: "Seg never gets full. It only gets crowded."

So the answer is: no, it's not possible to have too many guns. It's only possible to have too little space.

This is a well known phenomenon amongst crufflers (C&R FFLs), often blamed on a demon named Crufflestopheles.

For more musings on what constitutes "a lot of guns", you have to read "A Dating Cruffler".

And they'll go to a place out in the country to run and play with other firearms...

Where have I heard this cruel story before? hmmmm...

Marshal,
In the total cosmic scheme of things, the answer is NO!

But the answer may change depending on the situation of the moment.

For example; Swim to the far bank of the river with all your guns.

But how often does that happen??

So, in reality the answer is, NO!

PS. Are you trying to trick us? Or did my wife put you up to this?

The answer is NO! ..........Otherwise my Christmas might be ruined! ;-)

Regards, OE

Technically, no. But, after a certain point you will definitely have had enough of the wife-unit complaining about them.

I'm just waiting for the wifey to react this spring when I bring home a RRA M4......or the Lanber O/U I will probably buy myself for my 24th birthday......

You young guys have a lot to learn.

Your budget for a purchase at the toy store has to include a diversionary piece of jewelry or whatever your honey values most.
