Galveston: Lone Star Flight Museum to decamp

The Lone Star Flight Museum, which has been in Galveston since its founding, is moving. Hurricane Ike caused tremendous damage to irreplaceable aircraft and memorabilia. The location of the museum (adjacent to Scholes Field) makes it vulnerable to future storms.
The directors of the museum are in negotiation with the city of Houston to move the museum to Ellington Field (south of Houston near Johnson Space Center).

This museum owns many planes which are the only surviving example of their kind, many of them airworthy. So get it while you can: http://www.lsfm.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
