State Fair

I did a little research into State Fair carry
It appears that it is ok to carry ( IF YOU HAVE A CHL) on the grounds as
long as you stay out of the Cotton Bown Stadium
But you better not try to take your 1" pocket knife on to the grounds
knives are not allowed at all

The Search button (top right) is your friend.
Type in "State Fair" and you will have all the info and discussions you will ever need! That is......until this year's fair!

The state fair and their carry policies generate very lengthy threads here each year.

Stephen, if you were looking this up because of the comment that Rick Perry might have been in trouble because the State Troopers had banned gun from the State Fair you might note that he was at the Iowa State Fair, not Texas'.
Issues with the Texas State have been dealt with many times and discussed quite extensively on this forum, but we'll just have to wait and see what, if anything, they try this year.
