Ed Brown 8 packs

Hello Forum,
I had my Kobra Carry at the range the other day. It was a good shoot, BTW. But, the slide failed to lock back/open after the final round had been fired. I've identified one of my EB 8 packs as being the problem. Would different springs fix the problem? Other solutions?
