Mosin rear sight removal.

So for those of you that don't know under the rear sight is a 3/8 dove tail rail,I guess like on a .22.

Now for those of you that do know how in the world do you get the pins out to remove the rear sight. I tried just drifting, then WD-40, then heat, so far all I have done is mushroom the tip of my punch . I am afraid to get it to hot I know I have had it over 200 which from what I have read is above the melting point of silver solder but nothing moves even a tiny bit. The next thing I might try is a dremel and cut it off but that also worries me if I damage the barrel.

Thanks, However that and a few other sites is where I learned what I tried.
