Judge 3"

How significant is the difference between a 2-1/2" and 3" Judge (referring to the Taurus revolver that shoots either a .410 shotgun shell or .45 long Colt) in application/performance?
Please don't say 1/2".
Please don't say 1/2".
but seriously I think the three inch shell has more power and shot than the 2.5 inch.
