Rossi Ranch hand experiance....anyone?

When the Rossi Ranch hand first came out....I wanted one bad. But, there were none to be had, and those that were carried a price that was just short of stupid. Slowly there were a few pre-owned appearing on the auction sites....but the owners were still pretty proud with there pricing. As of late the price have started to come to a level lower than the MSRP. So I am starting to ask myself if this is something worth buying or was this a novelty whose day has come and gone? From the photos I have seen it does not apprear that the wood stock is anything to write home about. Somewhat bland in appearance and not always what I would call a good wood grain or finish. The bluing on the guns don't always appear to be even....maybe somewhat thing in places. Of course photos doesn't always show everthing at there best.
So does anyone here have experiance in owning, firing, handling a Rossi Ranch hand and care to share their thoughts. I am most interested in the 45LC.
Of course if this is the incorrect board to ask this question, since the Ranch hand is legally a pistol please feel free to move it to where it best belongs.
Thank you,

I can't help with the shooting aspect, but I did get mine in .45LC.

I had been on a list with Bud's for months. On 8/16, I got an email that it was in stock for $408, so I grabbed it.

I'm waiting on 400 rds of ammo from Georgia Arms. This: http://georgia-arms.com/new45longcolt26 ... 0pk-1.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

230gr JHP @ 900fps Looks like a profile that should feed good.

Taurus must have been listening to you. There is a new model shown on their site, so far only in .45LC.

It appears to have better wood and a case hardened receiver.

You waited this long.........................

:anamatedbanana Just got one for my birthday, a Rossi Ranch Hand in .44 mag, picked it up at the Conroe Gun Show. Took it outside and shot about 25 rounds through it!
I love it, more of a point and shoot, and definately a two handed hold required. Now, I have to make a holster for it!
