My home made holsters

Here are my most recent homemade holsters. I am still refining some of the techniques and these are rather rough but I was kind of in a rush when I made the 2 hybrids. I also need to get more quality leather as I used some scraps just to see if I could actually make them. Unfortunately the only black kydex I have is too thick and doesnt mould very well. I have the gray that come to me as a FREE 4'x8' sheet. I figured it would work great to use for practice.

I took a lot more time on the pancake but still need to smooth some edges.
I also made most of the J-clips myself.

I cant get a great pic of it but I moved the center line of the 'pancake' closer to the body. I was having a problem with the Bladetech holster causing some very painful spots from molding lines on the body side of the holster rubbing me.... to the point that I wanted to toss it in the trash after only wearing it for about 4hrs. The one I made is PERFECT. I have worn it for up to 16hrs with out the slightest bit of discomfort. I even have to reach for it just make sure I am still wearing it. This holster is by far the most comfortable holster, kydex or leather, that I have EVER used.

I used someone elses idea and made a cut out of my gun in a peice of wood as a mold. The idea worked GREAT.

Nice job on all those. I like the black one. The leather ones would look nicer with burnished edges. Some saddle soap and a canvas rag would do the trick. I made some clips out of myers myself. Your look a lot better though. Great idea.

Thanks for tips....but as i posted, these were quick jobs with scrap leather and my focus was on the kydex....mostly just trying to "tune" the wood wood mold. I will get some pics of my mold and press set up.

The black one is the Bladetech Eclipse.....the one that was way too painful to wear.
