I used to use a simple little plastic line level - just move it around to get the gun and scope level. In the field use a nice straigh wall or something else vertical to recheck. Goodenough!!!

If it's 98% accurate level then dialing enough clicks for a 10" drop (300-400 yards?) is still within 1/2" horizontal. That's good enough for most practical purposes.

As long as the table is level and the gun is a perfect mount... Note 'Tex' bills himself as an 'outdoors host' - this is the gun that shot himself practicing drawing his kimber...
