First let me wish everyone here a safe and Merry Christmas.
I have all of my kids (5) their spouses (4), all grandkids (6) and my parents comming for Christmas. They started arriving last night and will trickle in through Saturday. All of us will be going to my parents on Sunday and to church, Then all of the men and any women that want to will be going out back to shoot a few rounds.
Then we all go back to my house Sunday night for Santa to come Monday.
Will be a lot of fun but man thats a lot of people. Not sure how my mother did it for so many years.

We're having a quiet Christmas at home. no visitors. We had a houseful for Thanksgiving and it was our first time to host. While it was fun, there were several times that I wanted to grab my Peltor earmuffs to turn off the noise.
Merry Christmas!!

Our Thanksgiving was FULL HOUSE TOO. Christmas will be w/ the kids, Grandones, & Mom. We will go to church & Sunday morning we will look at the Hard Walk to Bethlehem. Sunday night we will "Gather Around The Manger".
We are all good here & Santa even comes for the adults of our house. In the past stockings have been filled w/ fruit, nuts, & always some shooting or hunting related goodies. Wonder what it will be this yr.
You know you are a Real American 2A supporter when you Wife & Mother get pistols, ammo, & accessories. Wonder what I will find.
Dinner will be very simple so the ladies can spend the day playing & not cooking.
Merry Christmas.

We'll go to Midnight Mass (guess I'm out of the closet now).
Open gifts in the morning, the Inlaws will come over and we'll open gifts again. We are also planning a simple dinner this year, I'll do a brisket on Sunday so all we have to do is the sides. Spend the rest of the time enjoying the blessing of family time.

Oklahoma City for us.....spending time with the In-laws. Tricked my Dad into staying at our place and keeping the dogs! LOL...that will be a show I hate to miss. OKC is a great place to visit, but I get bored after the first day. I must find a shooting range.
I mentioned looking for an IDPA match while we were there and that was not well received.

Good answer, Jason!
We will have all the kids (3), and their spouses or significant others. And, since this seems to be the topic for true confessions, this will be our last Christmas without grandkids. Our oldest daughter is expecting her first one in June! (Yes, I am now officially old!)
And we usually go to the range to try out all the new Christmas presents, but since Number 1 daughter is temporarily banned from shooting, I will probably stay home with her. That way I have a good excuse to not be embarassed by my weak hand only shooting abilities!
I wish everyone a Merry and Safe Christmas! Please remember that more people are killed by cars than guns, so drive safe and, if you celebrate with adult beverages, please have a designated driver.

Maybe something will happen that puts you a day behind schedule. There are 2 matches in the DFW area Saturday morning.

We're going to the Beaumont area, where all of our immediate family members are based. (My brother and sister are in Albuquerque and Dallas area respectively, and dh's sister is in Dallas, but the parents are all near Beaumont and Orange, so we all make a Mecca-style pilgrimmage there for Christmas each year.)
I'll spend Christmas Eve with the outlaws (oops, I mean inlaws), attend Christmas Eve worship with inlaws and Mom & step-dad, then spend Christmas Day through about 2pm with Mom & Step-Dad, then head to Dad & step-Mom's for the remainder of Christmas Day.
(I've told them that NEXT YEAR, they can all come here. There's even a range a mile from my house that Dad & I can sneak off to when no one's looking.)

Ummm, the chances of me shooting a gun on Saturday morning can only increase if we are attacked in Oklahoma.

IDPA is officially on break until 07. I am looking forward to some good dry practice and mental preparation/coversation during the trip
Nobody can keep me from dreaming about it

Our plans are to stay close to home and on Christmas Eve and run around to the local fire stations in our community and drop off some baked goods for those standing watch...Many of those guys and gals I've work some burners with on that evening for years...
I have a basket of bundled up goodies for any officers and deputies we see out there working as well...(Hopefully, not to be pulled over for official business

)
I've sent out cards to folks I served with just to say hello, and to remind them it was an honor to serve with them...
We've sent some gifts to some folks we'll probably never meet in person who are on the line now for us...I'm ok with that...I know how it was back in the day...I am sure they will be grateful to be thought of and appreciated on Christmas...
That has been my plan, and I feel so much better looking outward than inward this year...
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year...

I'll be spending Chanukah holidays with my family in Arizona. I spent thanksgiving in arkansas with my inlaws, so we're seeing the other side of the family. We're actually going after xmas to avoid the rushes; we're strange that way.
I look forward to being able to open carry while i'm there, even though my folks are quite the antis.
