working like a charm

that's rock'n'roll tape on the edge where my Colt D frame wore the most

The LC9 is so flat, it virtually disappears when carrying.

I have the same setup and love it, both the LC9 and the SmartCarry. Very difficult to detect, although adds a second or two to the draw time.

Yep, total concealment's a tradeoff for draw speed.

If there ever was a good candidate holster for Condition 3 carry, the Smart Carry rig is at the top of my list.

For me anyway, as designed, that rig just did not work and we modified it for forward cant positioning at 4:00.

One feature I have found handy on the LC-9 is the abilty to engage the safety before holstering, then disengage once in place (when carrying at 4:00, not 12:00!).

I played with the idea after seeing my friend’s uncles but like you guys said draw speed. He practiced a lot and he still couldn't draw nearly as fast as I could from my IWB holster. I thought about it and to me it seemed significant enough that if I had to draw in a hurry against myself I could already put 2 rounds center mass before fully drawing my weapon from a smart carry. It is faster then my ankle carry though!

This setup is best for business men who can’t carry because of work policy but do anyways. Great idea just not something I need.

I love the SmartCarry and use it often. But not with pistolas which do not have a hammer safety. I had a very graphic bad dream a few weeks ago about my safety-less BUGs, featuring all the freak accidents that could happen, and sold them all. I am an old man, planning to be an even older man.

That was definitely one factor in choosing to carry the LC9 in my SmartCarry.

I like that little thumb safety. :thumbs2:
