I have been seeing a Lot less 30.06 signs lately, and with the large increase in CHL's IF there is better awareness, OR has our, protest, phone calls & letters has caused some effect that you personally Witness a change in the last few years ?
OR do you think there is just better awareness ?
What places have you seen changed there minds about posting 30.06 signs?..

Taco Cabana used to have 30.06 signs posted at their doorways although the signs weren't big enough to be valid. They got lots of complaints and bad internet press. I think they all went away.

I have to say, in the last 10 years or so I cannot remember ever seeing a 30.06 sign, valid or otherwise. I have seen a lot of no gun type signs but not a 30.06. Maybe I don't get out enough.

Jared Jewelers are the only place I've seen compliant ones. Watch out for some of the movie theaters too.

I have seen many valid ones in last 10 years, but then I visit hospitals, law offices, etc. I agree I am seeing less signage. I thought it interesting that having visited 2 states, LA and TN, where all no-gun-signs carry weight of law, that I didn't see a single gun sign of any type in those places. I mean I see gun buster signs (not enforceable of course) all over the place here in TX, but not a one did I see in those states.

Go to downtown Fort Worth and visit Harris Hospital (Texas Select or choice now) and you will see more compliant 30.06 signs than you can count!

...IANA professional pollster but my UNinformed opinion is that there are two reasons the signs are coming down:
1. CHLers are proving not to be a problem...
2. No business can afford to turn away money these days...

I don't know about Jared's, but I have not seen a theater with a valid 30.06 sign. I don't see that many either and most of them are on hospitals. Fortunately, I don't frequent a hospital very much. Other than my daughters school my work is just about the only place I go that disarms me, but at least I can leave it in the car. They haven't changed their policy yet, but I know I'm okay because of the new law.

I never saw many so I can't say if I'm seeing fewer. Funny about the comment in other states. I always thought that businesses blaming their insurance company for the signs weren't being 100% honest.

There is a restaurant in N Austin that is obviously confused.
The door nearest to the bar has a TABC blue sign clearly posted.
The other door has an 8-1/2 x 11 laser printed 30.06 sign taped to the glass beside the door.

I dont see any confusion.
just because they CAN allow the "licensed possession", doesn't mean they must.
So they have decided that they do not want the "licensed possession" on their property.
No confusion - just anti-gun

There could be a little confusion. "The 8 1/2 X 11 sign says "CHLers can legally bring a gun in, but we really don't want your business."

A lot of the gun buster signs are for insurance purposes
If a business has an insurance policy issued by a company
That is based in an anti-gun state like Mass. or New Jersey
Not allowing guns might give them a reduced insurance rate
This way they can claim that “we do not allow guns" when they really
Do allow guns or they don't care

...now you have it!!! very often true...so I don't assume the worst about their attitudes...I just walk in, do my business, and go on my way...carrying properly concealed and not forcing the issue...if I do them the honor of not jumping to correct their "mistake", they won't have to EITHER explain OR give me verbal notification...
